For illuminating details of the whys and wherefores of why corporate academics must engage in the battle to free developing countries of the Global South from the doldrums of debilitating poverty of ideas and lack of industrial bases, say, see selected reads in this article. For example, why is it that an African country like Nigeria has more than 10,000 full professors, circa 60,000 academics generally, who are incentivised to publish or perish on their way to senior academic ranks, and this across more than 250 universities licensed by the National Universities Commission, yet Nigeria is still developing after more than six decades since independence?

You start each weekend to select a paper topic. RIAT is short for Research, Integration of Knowledge, Applications and Teaching, and is fondly referred to as the RIAT Fabric in Higher Education.
The Global Quadruple Helix (Global Q-Helix for short) consists of the four main areas in the world where almost all problems live – academia, public services, industry sectors and wider society. Hence, a publication (journal paper, research monograph, super-book, say) should aim to achieve the above acme of excellence and impact, by covering the RIAT Fabric and serving specific domains of the Global Q-Helix.
The Sweetpot Principle assesses three main ideas. First, is the problem addressed by the paper pervasive enough that the research results support the development of solutions that will benefit millions, if not billions, of users globally? Second, can we identify any existing or alternative solutions and determine that our results will support a superior solution? Third, can we within the research build up appropriate business analytics to evidence the superiority of our RIAT results and related solutions?
Step 2
Use the Oselux Research Methods Canvas to frame the starting aim and objectives of the paper as in the first box of the canvas.
Step 3
Pull out Wikipedia dumps on the key research themes in the title which guide the research. See LR- Theme 1, LR-Theme 2 , …, LR-Theme K in the canvas, LR representing Literature Review. This way, you are using Wikipedia as a digital research assistant just as you would use AI tools.

Comb through the dumps to retain only parts of the dumps that relate to the objectives and research questions.
Step 5
Tighten the focus of the research by using, if need be, AI tools to structure meaningful research questions or more preferably to generate additional literature on our own research questions.
Avoid the temptation to use AI tools to compile academic papers that have no roots in the real world. That is, papers that are not structured originally to solve a significant problem in the Global Q-Helix or appropriate levels of same, for example local, state, zonal, national and continental.
Step 6

Remarks
Not all the papers emanating from this business system will be data-driven. Some are fundamental review papers for which the sole aim is to enable an academic or researcher to master a topic and publish their learnings. From there, the researcher follows up with data- or case-driven papers. Moreover, the spirit of this business system lives in a related Oselux framework for producing winning research proposals
