Cancer, lowering the age limit for cervical screenings & your help in raising funds!
To my LinkedIn colleagues… CAN YOU HELP?
My daughter is running the Virgin London Marathon in April 2016 for CANCER RESEARCH. They have kindly offered her a ‘golden bond place’ because of her back story. At the age of 21 Faye Marsh was diagnosed with Grade three ‘pre-cancerous cells’ of the cervix and was told she would have developed Cancer within two years, if left undiscovered. In addition, Faye’s grandmothers both have Cancer along with her Aunts and a friend, who sadly died from this terrible disease. Indeed, six months ago even I was told that I had Cancer, although thankfully following a biopsy, this proved incorrect!
For this reason she fully supports the campaign to lower the age limit for cervical screenings after having to persistently fight doctors to agree to this test. She is continually being monitored by doctors for the foreseeable future.
Most of us will have been touched by Cancer, either directly or indirectly, during our lifetimes and for this reason she hopes you will consider sponsoring her for this very worthy cause.
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor her and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. If everyone of my LinkedIn connections gave just £1, Faye would be able to raise over £6,200.00!
Many thanks
