Celebrating the Dallas Philanthropic Community at the 8th Annual SVP Dallas Philanthroparty

On April 27, 2024, the Dallas social impact community gathered at the historic Statler Hotel for SVP Dallas’ 8th annual Philanthroparty, a celebration of the invaluable contributions of our network of Partners and friends.

At the heart of the evening was a special tribute recognizing the enduring legacy of Anne and Terry Conner , SVP Dallas Partners and longstanding pillars of the Dallas philanthropic community.

Anne & Terry have not only contributed to SVP Dallas over the years, serving on our Board of Directors and as advisors to various SVP Dallas beneficiaries, but they have also served in leadership roles within numerous Dallas nonprofits, with a particular focus on education and equity. Terry has worked Haynes and Boone, LLP , an international law firm with headquarters in Dallas; served as the Firm’s Financial Partner, Finance Practice Chair, and Managing Partner; and appreciates the Firm’s pro bono legal and financial support for nonprofit causes.

At Philanthroparty, attendees had the privilege of hearing from Anne and Terry’s friends and colleagues as well as the Conners themselves. Terry shared his philanthropic philosophy, emphasizing the importance of focusing on what he referred to as the "4 S's."

"Focus on the 4 S's, as I call them: Systemic, Sustainable, Scalable... and Social Venture Partners."
