Collaboration to Ensure Inclusivity: SSA Mohammed Isa Visits Hajiya Halima Shehu to Prioritize Disability Inclusion in Social Investment Programmes

A significant step towards inclusive social investment was taken today as Mohammed Isa, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Disability Matters, paid a courtesy visit to Hajiya Halima Shehu, the National Coordinator and CEO of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).

The focus of their engaging discussion revolved around the integration and empowerment of people living with disabilities within the social investment programmes in Nigeria. Emphasizing the critical need to ensure that individuals with disabilities are not marginalized, both parties explored strategies to ensure their active participation and inclusion in the country's social investment initiatives.

Expressing her delight at the visit, the NC/CEO warmly welcomed the collaborative efforts, affirming NSIPA's commitment to integrating inclusivity measures in all facets of their programs. She assured Mohammed Isa and his team that their insights and perspectives would be instrumental in structuring policies that prioritize and address the needs of the disability community.

During the meeting, Hajiya Halima Shehu reiterated NSIPA's dedication to providing equitable opportunities and support for people living with disabilities. The shared commitment to ensuring their active involvement without any form of exclusion or sidelining stands as a testament to NSIPA's overarching goal of fostering an inclusive and empowered society.
