About Communication
When I was a kid, the only communication technology our family had was a radio.
When I was in elementary school, we got our first television. It came with only one channel.
We had two channels by the time I was in high school,
When I was in college, we got our first landline telephone ever.
I had my first cellular phone when I graduated college and got a job.
When I came to the US for the first time, I created my Facebook account.
Yet, I wonder why the current world is the most disconnected and divided in history.

2moWhile technology and communication technology are impressive and continue to "change the game" as time goes on, it's apparent that in many instances we are more isolated than ever despite being more connected than ever 🤔. I would posit while these technologies and connections are useful and helpful in maintaining primarily and creating connections (in some limited senses), they are not a good wholesale substitute for authentic human face to face connection. Perhaps we would be better served if we treated these technologies as a complement for our connections and relationships rather than a replacement 🤔?
