Corporate Bullies - GGGRRRR!!!!
Business is business, big or small; businesses are businesses, from micro to corporate!
Everything that you read about business and success says that it boils down to just a few things. The product, the price, and the service. I want to spend a few moments talking about service.
If there are two businesses offering the same product or service, assuming the price is similar, which would you choose to support? For me, it would boil down to the customer experience. I am not saying that the customer is always right, what I am saying is that the customer should be treated the right way. After all, what would a business be if it didn't generate turnover, something that's not possible if they don't have clients?
I have just had an experience that has got my back up and made me extremely upset by the quality of the way I was treated.
Insurance companies so often have a bad reputation, insurance is often referred to as a grudge purchase, is it not?
I had a burst water pipe at my home and after consulting with the building's managing agent I submitted an insurance claim, being told it is the building insurance, not my personal household insurance that this falls under.
This is not about the fact that the claim was rejected (which it was0 rather about the way the insurance company dealt with me.
After the initial emails and the claim being rejected they stopped communications even though I wanted a reason for the rejection. I then went and placed something about them on Hello Peter, going as far as telling Hello Peter how to get hold of them. The same day I get a threatening email from them to remove the post or I am going to get sued. I said I would remove it but wanted answers, they agreed.
The second biggest issue was...
In all this time and having rejected the claim not one person from the insurance company came to assess what the damage was, they didn't set one foot into my premises! They just couldn't be bothered with little me.
Telling me they have it on the advice of an assessor that it's not going ahead. I got the file from them and half the photos are not even my property!
This has been going on since 7 August 2020, over a year.
I have been emailing the owners of the company as well as one of the managers who initially corresponded with me. This week for the first time one of the owners replied, in a nutshell telling me to get lost.

Yet I am stuck still having to pay over premiums each and every month as it's the company the building uses - talk about a real grudge payment!
How do companies get away with services like this? It astounds me.
You will notice no company name is mentioned here, that's because I know they will stare down at me from their corporate pedestal and threaten me again, but a copy will be sent to them if they have not blocked my email.
Yes, this is a personal rant, at the same time I ask you "How does a company get away with bullying a client by intimidation?"
Times are tough for most of us at the moment.
Things are slowly improving, but one thing I have learned with over 30 years of being an entrepreneur is that it is easier to retain a happy client than it is to get a new one.
Guess whom I will NEVER recommend...
