Declutter your life

Have you ever felt like this guy?

Or have you slept in a messy room?

A few years ago while I was sitting on my balcony in Manhattan "The W", I was feeling anxious but I couldn't exactly define what was bothering me and it suddenly hit me! Why don't I do what I am coaching myself and others to do with their brain? Declutter everything! Brain, home and workstation! Yes, I tide up everything! Yes Mom, I have got rid off the t-shirts that were size 4!haha. She would have been proud. As a mindset coach I am studying the human behavior and brain. How does our surroundings may affect positively or negatively our brain? How will affect me if I have had a clean and happy place? It changed my life!

My office is full of happy pens hahaha

It had exactly the same result like meditating. I started feeling much better and more in control if that makes sense to you plus that I have donated so many things that I would never have used anyway. It might sound a little bit too simple but please try it first and share with me your comments. As KonMari says let's spark joy!

We are spending a lot of our life at work that maybe in some occasions we have called it as a second home to us. Why not "spark joy"? Your surrounding is a critical factor for the good state of your mind. It will affect your mood and your decisions hence your whole life result. When you are feeling that you are in control then automatically you feel more confident, motivated and your performance is improving. When you are feeling that you are in the middle of chaos then you will feel demotivated because it is chaos anyway and you can’t control anything, so you are letting yourself go.

Declutter your home, brain and your workplace and your life will improve tremendously. You might say to me, but I don’t like my job, so I won’t bother. This process guys it is not about your job or anyone else, this is all about you! I am talking about mindset!Your workplace is your safe place no one else’s, right? By making yourself feel better you are firstly benefiting your mental health and then your company. That goes for the employer too, if you create a workplace in your company happy and a safe place then the productivity of your employee will impress you pleasantly!

Many times, I have had advised my clients (the employer) to create a relaxing / meditation/ pray room for the employees where they could spend a few minutes per day to ground themselves, recharge and go back in action again! I used to do that a lot in USA along with coaching for the employees once a week and it had incredible results! Can you imagine having a morning usually on Monday for a few minutes meditation or breathing techniques and then go to work? Your mind will be clear as crystal and motivated. Can you imagine how many conflicts will be avoided in the workplace when there you have internally harmony and peace. An internal coach and the “safe zone room can help too. I remember Jack a client I had. We used to box his fears as an exercise to manage his anger issues. An actual boxing sack in his office.

We are humans and sometimes things are happening in our life that we cannot control, but for anything that we can control like your workstation then you owe it to yourselves to make it a safe and happy place for us.

If you are working from home, it might be even more important. Create a workstation somewhere in the house so you can have that feeling “going to the office” then when you finish your work, you “will be leaving” the office along with all the worries. It might be hard when you are working and living in the same place that’s why this is a must! Create your happy corner.

If you are an employer, then think how much more productive your team will be if they are feeling joy and having positive vibes. As my kids are saying “it is not about working harder but smarter!”

If you would like to know more about it, please contact me so we can have a chat and "reset" your space and mind!

Thank you for reading my post. Have an amazing weekend!

Decluttering is so therapeutic. I used to cling to things like they were memories or “just incase I needed them in the future”. I’ve had to be brutal clearing out some things but I have a way to go. It doesn’t help being a crafter as I’m always biting things to support my hobby. I’ve felt so much lighter and relaxed since making sure everything is clean and tidy and nothing left lying around. It is good for the soul and to create a relaxing space. 🥰xx
