DH Work Anniversary: Karen Warth

Karen, congratulations on celebrating your 10th anniversary at DH! We're thankful for your leadership and the positive energy you bring each day.

We interviewed Karen after 10 years, and here is what she had to say:

Karen, tell us about a time at DH that you got better. What did you do? What did that unlock for you?

For the past years, I have had the pleasure of building the DH Oncology team. This experience has afforded me the ability to truly evolve my leadership skills and style. My focus on being a leader of leaders enabled me to grow professionally and personally.

Tell us about a time at DH that someone else made you better? What did you do? How did that impact you personally and professionally?

I have benefited greatly from both my direct manager and a few select peers/mentors at DH/PH. My manager (Eric Muller, President) provided me an opportunity to showcase my accountability and leadership in running a large and quickly growing account for our organization. He allowed me autonomy to build my team and yet provided great direction and support always. Additional mentorship and support from people like Brendan Gallagher (Chief Connected Health Officer, PH) has helped me grow at DH for 10 years. He has always helped to connect me with resources and support to continue to be innovative in my client engagements and better understand/feel connected to the larger Group/network.

What is your favorite memory at DH?

Traveling with work colleagues and overseeing my TEDMED (the Health and Medicine edition of the TED Conference) teams; both allowed me to spend personal time with work colleagues who have become great friends. At TEDMED, I especially enjoyed getting to know younger talented people that I feel I helped to mentor.

If you could go back in time, what advice would you have given yourself as you were just starting out at DH?

It’s about the people who work here…and that has been a true statement for 10 years. Enjoy and learn from some of the greatest talent in our industry!
