Does the AV industry have a collaboration problem?

Here at Inavate, we are big believers in industry collaboration, finding ways to work together not just to make money but to make our industry a better place. Something as simple as a sit down to talk shop, be it between AV managers and integrators, or manufacturers and end users can spark ideas, use cases for new technologies and drive us towards a more 'joined up' future.

Understanding the pain points at every end of the chain can save so many headaches down the road, so perhaps we should all take an opportunity to not just talk more, but listen more.

Couldn't agree more, and never more so than the the moment we are in at present with so many factors (not the least AI) transformationally changing the very foundations of the "why" objectives we serve, and thereby the who, what, and how we do so. Whether conversation and collaboration within our industry, or importantly engaging with those from the ever converging wider layers of the "Modern Work" ecosystem, what is clear is that the business models and solution offerings of the past MUST be reinvented, and that innovation will ONLY come from a more collaborative approach. As an industry we haven't been very good at "eating our own dogfood" in that regard. Some of that can come from building collaborative infrastructure and opportunities, but it starts with an individual mindset and commitment to creating your own collaborative networks.
