Meet Eddy Eustache 🧡
Père Eddy, as he is often called, joined Zanmi Lasante, as PIH is known in Haiti, in 2005 as its first psychologist, supporting patients and staff through personal, professional, and national crises. In his early years, Père Eddy traveled to clinics across Haiti, helping patients with tuberculosis and HIV adapt to life with chronic illnesses. Recognizing the emotional toll on colleagues, he became an advocate for staff wellness.
Now, he co-leads a global team focused on promoting mental health and supporting PIHers in need, embodying a commitment to holistic care for both patients and caregivers.
