Empowering the Overlooked Natural Leader--Eldest Daughters - #4

I'll warn you now--I'm about to share some heavy ish in a small amount of time because it's been on my heart and not to mention it's very timely.

I've seen some of my strongest friends question their future and wonder about the work they've already accomplished due to recent events. No one knows what the future has in store for us but I can't let fear win.

I am more driven than ever before to pour fuel on the fire within these amazing women who often overlook their own greatness and power because...

I've been tweaking and tweaking things for the next phase of this business and I've really made it my goal to make sure that I'm doing exactly what I believe God assigned me to do in this space. I recently figured out how to package this heavy stuff with the current trends to capture the attention of professionals.

Professionals specifically eldest daughters are hard to convince that "the woo woo" stuff is real--we're so impatient.

Me: You know your mindset has everything to do with why you've been stuck in the same position for years.

Eldest Daughters: I know but I think I just want the resume and LinkedIn update...

Me: 🤦🏿♀️

There's no time for the rest of that...

If I'm honest, I've thought about abandoning the career advancement industry entirely and stepping into something new but I remember all the times I wrote resumes that never saw the light of day because the client was fearful, impatient, or frustrated with the introspection required for a successful job search and I get drawn back in.

I want to help those women because I was them until I got fired from my first real job.

I've been able to stay committed to my dreams and goals because I realized my potential--it's been a ride but I'm still here 🙌🏾

Those who are great at what they do but are too caught up in survival mode to explore what it's like to live on their own terms (at least to the highest degree possible) are who make me show up in this space. They are the people who have the inner desire to do and be more than just another number in the office.

This would explain how I've felt since getting clear on my mission:

I wanted to jump ship on trying to make this pivot and connect with those who are disconnected from their inner voice but God keeps saying sit with it because this is it 🙃

Let's explore the core of my pivot--assisting eldest and first daughters with achieving a heightened awareness to intentionally tap into their true potential and abandon the limiting behavior and beliefs caused by survival.

MIND ◾ MINDFULNESS [INSTRUCTION]

Everything starts within the mind so be careful what you think...

Survival - Fear-Based Thoughts

These thoughts amount to a life of dependence on the perfect circumstances and trying to control every moving factor in a situation to get a positive outcome.

Potential - Faith-Based Thoughts

These thoughts are infused with the KNOWING that what you want is very much possible and available to you.

BODY ◾ MOTION [IMPLEMENTATION]

Every action is based upon the instruction from the mind.

Survival - Basic (from Urban Dictionary: Used to describe someone devoid of defining characteristics that might make a person interesting, extraordinary, or just simply worth devoting time or attention to)

The life is sucked out of women because they are giving their all to just get by--they don't have the capacity to consider giving more than what's required. This keeps them small and flying under the radar, missing the opportunity to expand in their roles.

Potential - Expansive

Things change but the professional is still aware of their own capabilities. They KNOW that they will be able to grow and develop in whatever environment, understanding the duality in all things--taking the good with the bad. These people can communicate their value despite the circumstances.

SOUL ◾ MAINTENANCE [OBSERVATION]

The interpretation of what's happening around you is dependent upon the level of awareness you are operating at.

Survival - Numb & Unaware

The inner world is avoided by all costs. There's a tendency to stay plugged in and distracted because dealing with who and what they have allowed themselves to become is heartbreaking. This means there is no time to take note on what is causing the disruption, why the negative thoughts are on replay, or what can be done to change things.

Potential - Aware & Present

The appreciation for life is evident. Taking the time to master and understand self is a priority because it's understood that this is required to show up as their best self in the world. Being able to acknowledge how breathing is effortless and gives us the ability to live is amazing. There can be a world of craziness as there is today but there is still room for gratitude for the smallest thing.

Choose your potential every time!

Choose to keep choosing you in the face of adversity. I can't give you a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this as I would with a resume or interviewing but I can give you the insight that motivates you to make it happen.
