FINDING THE NATURAL FREQUENCY OF HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS IN PROPORTIONAL VALVES APPLICATION SYSTEMS
ABSTRACT
Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam
In applications where high force, speed and position accuracy are required, the use of proportional hydraulic valves or servo valves is essential.
An important quantity to be obtained is the non damped natural frequency of the system.
In this simple article, it is showed a calculation of the Natural Frequency of a system with hydraulic differential cylinder moving a mass.
SUMMARY MAP OF PROPORTINAL HYDRAULIC APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY
BASIC FORM TO OBTAIN THE NON DAMPED NATURAL FREQUENCIES OF SOME HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
RELATION BETWEEN NATURAL FREQUENCY OF SYSTEM AND NOMINAL SIZE OF THE VALVE (FORMERLY MANNESMANN REXROTH FIELD RESULTS)
EXAMPLE OF CALCULATION
The obtained frequency is 75 radians per second. Due this:
For a 75 rad/s of non dumped natural frequency, valves of Size 32 are not able to use to this application.
The 32 size valves has a higher cost than the 25, 16 and 10 size valves.
A wrong choice maybe represents lost of cost and issues during the work.
CONCLUSION
As mentioned above, a wrong choice represents lost of cost and issues during the work. The Environment, Health and Security maybe will been affected in a critical form.
