Most of our features concentrate on the cutting-edge of the industry – such as this week’s profile of India’s first insect-for-aquafeed startup. But, it’s also important to recognise the achievements of those who came before us. On this basis the tale of how Ade Alakija helped to modernise Nigeria’s catfish farming sector is both a fascinating read and a fitting tribute to a man who achieved so much for the sector. What a shame he did not live for long enough to see the nation-wide impact he had.
