#FrameItFriday

#FrameItFriday I was in Toronto for a few days this past week, helping with a move. We purged a lot too. Much to my surprise the purge unearthed a collection of my previous year's calendars (2019 to 2024)! Here's the proof that my 2025 calendar will be my 7th year of producing them. I was overjoyed to be given the collection. During our move to Tweed, my personal collection went M.I.A. which made me a sad panda. This post does not mean I'm selling my 2025 calendar right now, I still have to put it together. I usually begin assembling the calendar in October so stay tuned for that announcement (don't forget that $5 from every calendar sale is donated to a local charity). So far I've donated $3,000 over the years. Not big bucks but enough to make a tiny dent for the community. With the exception of year 1, all calendars were created and printed in southwestern Ontario by a family run printing business. As far as calendars go, it's old school and it usually ends up in folks kitchens or offices. "to dos" and "special events" are scribbled on to each monthly page. The coiled binding is also a game changer as well. Never mind your smart phone, old school hand written is where it's at, you don't have to plug in and charge this "daytime" lol. Each month has a "best of" #chickpicotheday shot and some sassy comment. Some years, #StellaCat is in it too (but the modelling fee her agent charges is me cuts in to my profit lol). I've also said that when the year is up, the photos can be framed. The gift that keeps on giving so to speak. I just thought I'd mention that to y'all because I haven't had the energy this past week to pick up my camera unless absolutely necessary. Having unpacked 26 or so of those huge tote bins from the move, me arms are toast lol. I am chomping at the bit to get out for an explore in the next coming weeks. Not going too far, just a day trip here and there with or without the kayak. Any suggestions from y'all? Here's your chance to tell me "where to go" lol. Couple of more housekeeping items....watch this page for a smoking hot sale of canvas prints of my images and I am accepting bookings for Fall family shots (relax, I'm not going pumpkin spice latte on you, it's too soon yet) but dare I say the trees along southeastern channel of the Moira is beginning to change colour. I have some special locations in mind. We're off to see Tweed & Company Theatre presentation of Million Dollar Quartet this evening, sans camera. The show only runs until Saturday, August 17th at the Marble Arts Centre and then it moves to up to The Village Playhouse in Bancroft August 21st to September 1st so all my friends that live and cottage up in Bancroft, skip the bonfire and come see a fabulous show! That is the end of my commercial. Have a great weekend and stay safe!
