Hay there lol guess what???? I finished up the artwork for my 7th annual 2025 Calendar and it's off to the CANADIAN printer. I thought I'd let you all know so those of you that have inquired, you can now place your pre-orders with me. Keeping the pricing the same as last year. $25CDN ea. if you pick it up in Tweed or it's $35CDN ea. if you want it sent via Canada Post. Don't forget, $5 from each calendar sale goes to a local charity. How do you order? Send an email to: heathercards@hotmail.com along with address details and you can e-transfer me to the same email address. E-z peasy! I will have a limited supply.
Tomorrow, I am honoured to be attending Brighton, Ontario's 50th Brighton Applefest (it's on now and runs until Sunday, September 29th, see link for scheduled events). I will be there capturing the shenanigans and all things apples! There's so much going on, it will be a busy jam-packed day. Provided they can get off the ground, with me in it, and I don't barf, I will be taking some photos of the event from the air! The festival is offering helicopter rides (for a fee). So although there's no birding on the schedule for me per se I will have a bird's eye view being an "eye in the sky". It will be lots of fun and the weather is supposed to be amazing (touch wood). I hope that I may see some of you there.
Gotta go charge my batteries. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend. About the photo, it's located on one of my fav backroads, part of the Six Pack Tour as they say. Some lucky cows will be well fed this winter.

2moMy grandfather’s barn looked just like that. And that’s where the hay was stored. No bales. The mow smelled wonderful when the cut first went in.
