October, celebrated as Pinktober, we are focused on raising awareness about Breast Cancer awareness with our #HopewithFUH campaign.
Lets take a moment to reflect on the dynamic month we have had with some updates from FUH.
World Heart Day celebrations with those Treated by FUH Cardiology Experts
On account of World Heart Day (WHD) 2023, with the goal to raise awareness about healthy heart, we brought together the community for an enlightening session. Engaging in panel discussions were Cardiology experts alongside patients who shared their healthcare journey of being Treated by Experts at FUH.
Its estimated that from the 20 million heart disease and stroke deaths last year worldwide, 80% could have been avoided. While its disheartening to note such a significant number, through such awareness sessions we aim to empower the communities with the information they need to take proactive measures towards their health.
Academic, Care and Community driven healthcare initiatives
A remarkable achievement in our commitment to academic excellence we successfully completed the inaugural national Nursing Conference: "Strategies for Success: Educate, Empower, Engage". UAE's ever evolving dynamic healthcare landscape demands the need to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practice in nursing. Featuring various nursing engagement strategies and academic collaborations, we hosted over 200 eminent nurse leaders under one roof discussing and emphasizing the importance of collaboration between academia and leadership.

In another academic endeavor and to further explore more horizons of research and innovation in health with the University of Dundee, we received Prof. Johne Rory, Prof. Mairi Scott, and Dr. David Russell as our distinguished guests.
Patient safety is our inherent commitment. We promote a culture of safety throughout our organization and ensure that safety is a shared responsibility. On World Patient Safety Day 2023, we joined hands with our patrons and undertook initiatives including patient awareness sessions and a patient coffee morning to address general safety concerns in the UAE.
Community outreach holds a special place in our hearts, and thus, each month we pay special attention to activities related to this mission. In September too, we held various Community Outreach programs, like complimentary LDL and health screenings across various locations. We also hosted our monthly engagement activities like FUH Life Café and FUH Belly Café, continuing to foster a sense of support and engagement.
