FU🙃K THE PRODUCT.
Fu🙃k. The. Product. Sorry for the delay on this week's article. I hope all of you My Mindset Made Me Do It'ers are doing solid this week! As I was saying, fu🙃k the product.
Don't ever sell a product. Offer a Solution. I've seen so many people try to push a product on someone and it blows up in their face. Help them!! Help the person with their problem and a transaction between the two will follow more natural than the coffee I drink.
When someone walks into your store or lands on your webpage (LSHO is still under construction by the way if you've landed there recently) don't sell them. Help them. If someone comes in and wants to buy ear muffs because their ears are cold, and you try to sell them shoe shine, you're about as cold as an ice cube in hell. It could very well be the best shoe shine on the planet. It could self clean their shoes for 15 years straight and then pay off their mortgage but It doesn’t keep their ears warm. Well, maybe a paid off house with proper heating will, but I digress.
Don't force your product on anyone. Help them. Don't just sell someone the top shelf paint because you say "the label says it's our best paint."Ask them what they are painting? How much shade is on the outside of their house? How much sun does it get? What direction is their house facing? North or South? Yes, its a thing. Are they painting inside? If so how much lighting is there? Warm or cool light? If you go too light of a color then go lighter it could wash the color completely out. How many windows? Kids? Think of durability in the product. Do they want warm or cool under tones in the color. Monochromatic theme? Do they even know what that means? Ask them to hold a few colors up of the same color and look at which one of the few that they are more drawn to.
The diamond, gemstone and jewelry industry is the same. The fashion industry is the same. The automotive industry is the same. Everything you do follows this one thing. I promise. Guide them don't sell them. All day everyday. Think of the solution to their problem within the value of the product.
At the end of the day, FU🙃K the product and offer a solution.

Until the next one, stop selling people and start helping them.
