The Future of AI in Dentistry

The Future of AI in Dentistry

AI is thrown around so massively that we can’t escape.

People usually think of AI as robots following us around and doing crazy things, while some think of robots reading thoughts or self-thinking.

AI is beyond this.

AI comes with automation that improves your focus on your patient care rather than focusing on lower-hanging fruit things in offices.

Dentists get scared, for they believe their jobs will be taken with the advent of AI, but it’s an opportunity to let dentists focus on higher-level stuff.

For example, at a dental office, taking care of actual patients rather than doing billing.

A lot of that can be automated with AI, freeing the human in the office to spend more time with patients.

So, if we communicate what a Jetson Future would like in the dental industry, we’ll see that it will be more automated, whether it’s the diagnosis, treatment planning phase, or treatment giving phase.

Dentists Will Be Forced Into AI Shortly

Dentists are adopting AI slowly, but soon, they have to embrace it.

Unbeknownst to them, insurance companies are swiftly adopting this technology at a much faster rate. It’s a wow moment for insurance companies as they now have a million subscriptions, which, with human power, was limited to a few tens.

This will invite rejections to insurance plans covering smaller dental treatments. All of this is pulled with AI; dentists will need AI support to fight the AI that traumatizes their business.

How Does AI Look At A Dental Office?

AI impacts every piece of the puzzle, from diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment acceptance, utilizing technology, streamlining administrative tasks, and predicting the future.

It allows clinicians to practice conservative dentistry, which is becoming the new normal in patient care.

AI-driven dentistry is in its nascent paradigm shift phase, but we have found it capable of identifying pathology sooner, allowing clinicians to practice minimally invasive dentistry. This means it comes with fewer costs, less discomfort, and less chairside treatment.

Productivity Platforms Are Soon To Catch You Up

You may see customized models to help you impart better patient care and satisfaction.

You might see some subscription models for each patient based on their past treatment, and they predict their treatment future.

Or maybe you’ll have software to help you call your patients promptly to lock their bookings. An AI takes just 0.2 seconds to hear and analyze a 10-minute conversation.

Dental Office DSOs Will Be At An Ease

DSOs need to be more satisfied with the number of technologies they must deploy to run a practice. They also need a complete management system and workforce to engage patients.

AI allows stack consolidation of all that data to make a decision. There is so much data that converting it from hindsight to foresight for dental practices is difficult.

Actionable intelligence can solve all these problems to boost conversions and improve the overall value of patient care.
