Ghosts from the past

Centuries-old cemeteries near the Bryant campus are reminders that the town of Smithfield has a long and storied past. As part “Doing Public History” – a special topics course taught this semester by Adjunct Professor Gail Mohanty, Bryant students surveyed a cemeteries adjacent to campus. The materials they gathered – photographs, maps, transcriptions, gravestone rubbings, and more – will be placed in the University’s archives for future use.
