I've spoken to many designers that tell me time is a big issue,
they spend hours in Facebook or LinkedIn groups looking for work,
Now if that works for you that's great,
but I'm pretty certain that the majority of the time,
You're not being paid a huge fee,
You probably had to keep searching those groups a few times a day to make sure you got first dibs.
AND...The number of people shouting in the comments,
"YES im amazing! I can do that work for you!"
AND...
"Heres a link to my portfolio!"
IS ridiculous.
The prices start to fall and in the end, the work isn't even worth your time and effort.
Now, this isn't the only time-wasting activities I've heard about recently,
There are lots of them,
Small agencies I've spoken to are finding companies that they want to work with and sending them examples of their work,
Emailing companies with a list of all the things they can do for them,
Creating huge proposals with no idea of WHO they're actually dealing with and what the real issues are right now.
So let's stop wasting precious time searching for your ideal projects and clients like a mixture of where's wally and guess who.
I have some important news for you...
IT'S NOT A NUMBERS GAME!
It's actually a game of precision!
So if you've ever played a game that involves a high level of skill you'll know what I mean,
You probably started losing your lives faster than the blink of an eye but as you learned from your mistakes you started to actually get some higher scores.
The trouble is, this can take a lot of time and wasted energy,
And that's only if you're actually aware of what you need to focus on to improve,
So if you really want to know the key skills you need,
That anyone can learn when you have the 1:1 help you need,
Just let me know today,
Lifes short, let's get to our goals now and enjoy it.
