Here's How To Social Climb Without Being A Faker.

So you want to social climb for your career, but you don't want to be a faker?

There's one method for you to use to not only not be a faker, but also to snuff out the other fakers and social climbers.

First, let me tell you a little story...

When I first started out my photography career, I flew out to LA and did a free pro-bono photo-shoot with a semi known actor to build my portfolio.

The day of the shoot arrived, and I excitedly headed to my session with him.

The shoot went well, we laughed, we went for lunch, we had a blast!

Me, trying to network and make new friends asked him if he wanted to meetup the following week to attend an event.

He replied: "Sure! I'd love to! You're lots of fun to hangout with."

We finished our shoot, I went home, imported the portraits into my computer, edited them and sent them over to him.

Shortly after I sent this actor the photos, I noticed that he unfollowed me on Instagram.

I texted him reminding him about the event in a few days.

No response.

I texted him again the next day. No response.

I realized something was amiss. I realized I got used. It wasn't pleasant.

I vowed to never be so naive again.

Lesson: Learnt.

Since then, I have made my move to Los Angeles, worked with some of the biggest influencers in the world, made genuine friends, and learned how to better navigate the super tough Hollywood entertainment industry.

Here's my advice:

You attract the energy you out.

One of the biggest things you can do to be a GENUINE social climber and attract authentic friends, authentic people, and good connections in this industry, is to not fake it.

Be genuinely authentic!

You attract good or bad friends by the energy you put out there.

You need to be genuine and authentic in all your dealings.

This includes your online persona.

This includes your in-person energy.

This includes your practicing not using others when you know you can.

This includes learning body-language and micro-expressions so you can heighten your EQ and learn how to better read people!

But most of all: This includes treating everyone the same whether it's Beyonce or the maid in Beyonce's house.

You must be a good person if you want to attract good people. Period.

Be the person you would love to be friends with, and it will all fall into place!
