The Holy Spirit, Our Helper

The Holy Spirit, Our Helper

"This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit', says the Lord of Hosts". Zechariah 4:6

One of Jesus' first & major commands to His disciples after His resurrection was that they should wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father. On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about." Acts 1:4

It is ONLY by the Holy Spirit of God that believers become victorious!

What we need most is the ability to tarry in the presence of God & launch into the depth of the power of the Holy Spirit by faith. He is able to carry us through dangerous situations as well as lift us up to greater heights.

We live in a world full of opposition.

The child of God is always under attack from MANY forces. However, the Holy Spirit is more powerful than all these forces combined. This means that it doesn't matter what or who is opposing you. Once you fully surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit, you will realize that all other powers have been rendered ineffective.

"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him & put him to flight." Isaiah 59:19(b)

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know Him because he lives with you now and later will be in you.No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live." John 14:16-19
