How can Neuroscience Help Create Better Communication at the Workplace? Watch this Video Interview with Dr. Laura McHale to Know More!
Are we clued in to how staff think? Is our communication tuned to what audiences prefer? Do we fully understand the implications of human behavior in communication?
Pleased to share the 27th edition of Intraskope’s Spotlight Series’ featuring, Dr. Laura McHale, a business and leadership psychologist, author, and lecturer. She is the founder of Conduit Consultants, a Hong Kong-based organizational consulting firm specializing in leadership, culture, organizational communication, leadership assessments, psychometrics, and neuroscience and the author of Neuroscience for Organizational Communication: A Guide for Communicators and Leaders (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022). In this interview, Dr. Laura addresses the importance of understanding how we think, feel and act and its applications in communication.
In the Spotlight on Internal Communications Series, I talk to thought leaders on topics interrelated with internal communications such as culture, crisis, change, executive presence and leadership. The goal is to help unravel why they matter, what can leaders and communicators learn from experts and how we can put insights to practice.
Dr. Laura also argues for self-care among staff and communicators.
“Self-care is critical — especially before and after a crisis or major change. It is important to understand the psychology of loss and grieving. Engaging in post-traumatic organizational growth is crucial”, she says.
