How To Get A New Job And A Pay Raise In Q1 2022
The Great Resignation is all over the news. And while that means that many people will leave their current jobs, it also means that even more people are looking for new jobs ... so there's a lot of competition out there.
How much you ask? Since 50% of currently employed workers are expected to change jobs in 2022, plus the 2 million officially unemployed and the 5M long term unemployed dropped from government statistics, that totals about 90M job seekers, competing for 10M jobs. That's almost 10 job seekers competing for every job, (Note: 3 job seekers per job is considered a job shortage).
So it's not as easy as it used to be, when you could apply to 5 jobs and get a couple of offers to choose from. Today's hiring processes have changed. To find get a new job and a pay raise quickly in 2022, your strategies have to work with these employer changes.
You can learn how to beat these high levels of competition to find a better job than the one you left, at a higher salary, with a better career path ... but it takes a different resume/interview/job search strategy than what you're doing now (and what most of your competitors are doing).
