How to identify a good CSR Project?

Good projects are building blocks for a successful CSR program. It is not an easy task to identify right projects that meet the criteria. There could also be instances where projects are good but partners may lack expertise. Below are the typical features of a good project:

  • A detailed proposal on the project
  • Covering the problem that it is intended to solve
  • The solution that it foresees once implemented
  • The resource requirement in terms of budgets and human resources
  • The impact, measures, metrics applicable
  • Reporting frequency, formats, responsible roles
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Branding opportunities for the organization
  • Project sustainability
  • Success criteria and exit criteria
