Humane's AI Pin: The Wearable Device That's Turning Heads on the Runway and in the Tech World
Humane a company founded by ex-Apple employees Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri , is on the cusp of releasing a wearable device that has the potential to revolutionize personal computing: the AI Pin.
The AI Pin is a small, lightweight device that uses AI to project information and controls onto the user's hands or other surfaces. It is designed to be a more seamless and intuitive way to interact with technology, without the need for a screen or physical buttons. Humane has not yet released many details about the AI Pin, but the company has revealed that the device will be powered by a custom-designed AI chip and will use a variety of sensors to collect data about the user's environment and movements. The AI Pin is also expected to be able to connect to a variety of other devices, such as smartphones, smart home devices, and cars.
The AI Pin is still under development, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology. Humane is expected to officially unveil the device on November 9th, 2023.
Analysis
As a technology expert, I am excited about the potential of the AI Pin to revolutionize personal computing through a wearable device. The device has the potential to make our lives easier and more convenient, while also giving us new and innovative ways to continue to interact with the world around us.
Here are a few specific examples of how the AI Pin could be used in everyday life:
Additionally, as a style enthusiast, I am equally excited about the potential of the AI Pin to impact the fashion industry. The device could be used to provide users with a more interactive and immersive shopping experience. For example, users could use the AI Pin to try on different clothes virtually, see how the clothes look on them from different angles, and get recommendations from other users.

Association with Paris Fashion Week
Humane's association with Paris Fashion Week is a significant development for the company. It shows that Humane is serious about bringing its product to market and that it is targeting the high-end fashion consumer. The fact that Humane was featured on the runway of Coperni, one of the most innovative and influential fashion houses in the world, is a testament to the potential of the AI Pin.
I am curious to see how Humane continues to build on its success at Paris Fashion Week. I am also interested to see how other fashion houses and brands may incorporate the AI Pin into their designs and collections.
Will the Humane AI Pin be as successful as the products that the founders created at Apple? Only time will tell, but the device's debut at Paris Fashion Week and the significant buzz it has generated in the tech industry suggest that it has the potential to be a major success.

1yAccording to The Verge, 'it’s not yet entirely clear what you’re supposed to use it for.' I wonder if it will further isolate people, make them withdraw from P2P interactions because now they'll have access to another (non-human) voice that doesn't compromise them. Is a good use of tech to remove the mobile phone from having to be carried around and the camera will add an entirely new meaning to surveillance and monitoring of real-time situations, say interactions with law enforcement, but what if they become ubiquitous? Are we creating a mass-monitoring medium? And what will that mean to the further erosion of privacy? How are they going to stop these from being turned off in places they shouldn't be?
