For more than 30 years, IBM has partnered with the (USTA) United States Tennis Association to create world class digital experiences in the US Open app and website for millions of tennis fans around the world. This year, the team tapped into the power of generative AI built with IBM watsonx to add spoken commentary to match highlights, produce match previews, and help write hundreds of Match Reports.

Acing the US Open Digital Experience

For two weeks at the end of summer, nearly one million people make the journey to Queens, NY to watch the best tennis players in the world compete in the US Open Tennis Championships.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) has worked side-by-side with IBM Consulting for more than three decades, developing and delivering world-class digital experiences that constantly advance the features and functionalities of the US Open app and website.
