The importance of reading for manager and project manager

IT books, why? We need to:

  • Perform the experience

Elaborate the experief view and in this way be a better human being and a better manager.

How reading can help you in project management and in management?

There are many aspects to be taken under consideration but, in my opinion, the best are:

  • Leveraging other experience and improve your project management tools
  • Add details to your activities, because none can know everything
  • Improve your negotiation skills
  • Help in communication
  • Help in improving your strategical vision: for example, in my personal experience, i have seen many PMs who are not taking care of the health of the company they are working for. Acquiring a strategical vision will help to understand your role as manager and project manager, by doing this you can communicate this to your team

Conclusions

Read to be a better person, to be a better manager and develop yourself. Remember always to read and make questions, the more the questions the better you shall understand the topic and incorporate in your daily routine
