Improve your English - Celebrate your successes
It's been a long year but you're nearly there!
Whether you're planning to rock around the Christmas tree or simply put your feet up, I hope you enjoy a well-deserved break.
One of my fundamental aims is to educate, teach, train people and to help them be happy, experiencing success and a sense of satisfaction in work well done, thereby increasing their self-respect and willingness to persevere.
It is time right now to celebrate your successes. It can be the successes you experienced in learning, improving your English or the successes in your professional or personal life.
You have achieved a lot, you have grown, you have changed, you have been working at it.
Give yourself time to celebrate how far you have come and the movement you have made.
Too often we get caught in the process and forget that part of living in the moment is to be satisfied with where you are now. This is an essential step to set you up for more successes.
Take a moment for yourself and get your 2019 agenda, a pen and some paper. Go back and review your calendar by answering to the 5 questions below. Think about what you have been doing to learn, improve your English, what has worked for you. You are going to do some challenging thinking and some writing.
If you are up for a challenge, I would love for you to do this in English. It’s a perfect opportunity to get some English thinking and writing practice in English.
These are the questions:
1. Looking back on this year and your efforts to learn/improve your English, what is one thing you’re proud of?
2. What did you learn in English this year?
3. What obstacles did you overcome in your English this year?
4. What did you do that helped you make that progress? What steps did you take?
5. What fears, frustrations, bad memories, or negative stories can you leave behind in 2019.
I want you to remember and celebrate all the great things you did in 2019 to learn, improve your English and leave all the negative behind.
“It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey”.
And one last question: What do you do to celebrate your successes😊?
Wishing you a magical, blissful Holiday season and a Happy New Year!
