Job Opportunity: Transportation Systems Technician A, B, C, or D in Pasco, WA!

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a senior/expert level of the TST job class. This position will support region-wide Traffic Signals and ITS system maintenance & operations. Provides technical expertise, recommends system and equipment modifications and enhancements, reviews contract plans, performs inspections, recommends new technologies, and trains other TSTs. Commissions new sites and provides turn-on support for new traffic signals. Develops documentation for tracking software, databases, inventory supplies, and training materials. Maintains ITS communication networks and specialized ITS and Signal PC programs/software. This position holds a high degree of expertise and knowledge of traffic signal operations and agency standards and specifications. Serves as the Signals/ITS point of contact for areas 3 & 4.

This position will lead by example in safety, training, workmanship, documentation, equipment operation, policies, teamwork, standards, and other areas as appropriate. Requires little to no direction to perform duties as assigned.
