Junior doesn't mean useless!

Junior doesn't mean useless!

Every one of us has been junior one time in his life. And I can be almost sure that every one, at least one time, saw something wrong in a situation that a lot of senior person didn't saw.

With the same likelihood, when the junior tried to raise the flag and warn colleagues about it, the senior asked to junior to think about his junior tasks.

This is similar to what has happen some months ago in Italy. A girl, a junior medician, tried to warn the senior about a possibile issue, but.....

Yes is true, maybe juniors doesn't have the sufficient expertise and experience to make everything alone. Probably can't take ownership of interely projects or responsabilities, but...

But they have somethingh that me, and others seniors, haven't. Specially because juniors are juniors the have a different way to see the situations. They have another perspective.

Junior are more motivated, are fulfill of courage and have a lot of mind power. And don't forget that, they will become the future generation of seniors.

So let's make possible that juniors helping us in our job. We will have a precious, fresh new perspective. They will feel more involved, valued and happy to make theirs job.

Is very important to give the correct value to junior people. I must admit that myself in the past made the mistake of overlook suggestions by juniors, even if when i was junior i felt really frustrated when happen to me.

Now that I'm giving a lot of value to juniors suggestions I can say that they apport a strong enhancement to the projects I'm managing.

So remember, if they are young and juniors, doesn't mean they are useless. Trust them, hear them, give them a chance to make the difference.

Closing this article I feel is important to specify that when I talk about juniors I mean: Juniors for the job they are starting do.

So even a ninenty years old employee can be junior and precious for our projects.
