As pioneers of the mobility industry, we are now once again embarking on an era-defining journey - the road to Net-Zero 2050. And we’re making powerful collaborations en-route, as the recent signing with RTA proves. Let’s dive into it.

Toyota Crown

Once a legend, always a legend. The Toyota Crown marked its return this year with a revolutionized modern design and top-of-the-line premium technologies.

At the packed-out launch event, we took the guests on a memorable journey through time, as we featured several generations of the Crown alongside evocative scenes of the UAE’s progress through the years.

All-New Honda ZR-V

A bold new arrival, perfectly carrying forward Honda’s ‘Advanced and Sporty’ ethos. The all-new ZR-V’s launch was met with a wave of enthusiasm from automotive media and our VIP guests.

BYD ATTO 3

This is it! We took a giant leap forward in our electric mobility journey – as we launched the first BYD model in the UAE – the all-electric BYD ATTO 3.

Media, government entities and the first 100 customers were there to fully explore as well as test drive this groundbreaking model in an all-day celebration.

VOLVO ELECTRIC TRUCK RANGE

In a defining moment for the heavy-duty transportation sector, FAMCO unveiled the region’s first-ever Volvo heavy-duty Electric Truck Range in the presence of the Swedish Ambassador to the UAE, government officials, senior management of Volvo & Al-Futtaim Automotive, and VIP guests.

A formidable display of our automotive group’s commitment to future-forward innovation and the UAE’s Net-Zero 2050 strategy. 

We unveiled the Volvo FH Electric, which can haul up to 44 tons and run an impressive 300 kms on a full charge. 

GAC Emkoo

Our business in Doha, DOMASCO marked a new era for GAC Motor as it launched a brand-new, mega 3S facility. At the same time, we also launched a new compact SUV – Emkoo.

In the presence of senior representatives of GAC Motor, DOMASCO also unveiled the region’s first GAC Approved pre-owned programme.

EMPOW is characterized by futuristic lines and a sleek, muscle car-like silhouette to give the car a stylish and aggressive stance. 

Honda Advanced & Sporty

Continuing our success story in Doha, DOMASCO also unveiled a new Honda centre, alongside the launch of Honda’s ‘Advanced and Sporty’ lineup in Qatar.

The line-up includes the fastest-ever Honda Civic Type R, the all-new Honda ZR-V, the CR-V, Pilot and Accord e:HEV, the first hybrid from Honda.

All-New Toyota Urban Cruiser

Bringing a new dimension and suave to the popular SUV line-up of Toyota, the Urban Cruiser is a dynamic compact SUV.

It’s the first-ever UAE model to feature the electrified Neo Drive system, that blends sustainability and style like none other.

Al-Futtaim Automotive and RTA Sign Historic Partnership

Al-Futtaim Automotive signed on to become the Strategic Mobility Partner for the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), for all major events for the next 3 years. 

As per the agreement, we will deliver 350 electric & hybrid cars (BYD, Polestar, Lexus, Toyota and Volvo) and 10 electric buses (Volvo and BYD), as well as offer solutions and expertise on electric charging technology and infrastructure.

This landmark agreement will help expedite RTA’s goal of ‘Zero-Emissions Public Transportation in Dubai 2050’ and reassert our green mobility leadership across the country.

Al-Futtaim Leads $15 million Funding Round in Electric Two-Wheeler Startup - River

In a pioneering move, Al-Futtaim Automotive is charging ahead to electrify the two-wheeler sector with its investments in River, a revolutionary electric two-wheeler startup based in Bengalaru, India. 

This partnership bolsters our mission to build the EV ecosystem. We are not just talking the talk, we are walking it too, as shown by the investment. 

The funding series will boost River’s manufacturing and distribution networks for an August 2023 delivery kick-off in India, and will enable the company to rapidly scale internationally.

Auto Centers Opens Its Largest Multi-Brand Facility - At Home In Dubai Festival City

The iconic new facility is spread over a sizeable 47,000 square feet, with the capacity to service up to 100 vehicles per day; any make, any model, any brand.

The launch brings the tally of Al-Futtaim Auto Centers to a total of 14 across the UAE. 

At the event, we also announced our partnership with leading tech disruptor – CAFU and the world’s most recognised lubricant brand – TotalEnergies.

CAFU users will now be able to book the Auto Centers mobile service vehicle to come to their home or office, and deliver top-level services and Al-Futtaim expertise, wherever they are.

First-Ever Al-Futtaim Toyota Motorsport Academy Rounds Off With A Grand Finish

The region’s first home-grown motorsports reality TV show, the Al-Futtaim Toyota Motorsport Academy had its thrilling grand finale streamed to millions of motorsports enthusiasts in the Middle East via Shahid, the region’s leading Arabic streaming platform.

Branden Hancock took the top podium and was named the Toyota Gazoo Racing Off-Road Ambassador for 2023, after edging out many motorsport contenders.

On Shahid, our series gathered 5 million impressions while on YouTube, it reached a massive 108 million people (impressions).

Our Mobility-as-a-Service and EVs took centrestage at Mobility Live 2023

It was an exciting two days demonstrating and discussing the future of mobility with key stakeholders at the transformative mobility event - Mobility Live Middle East 2023, from 15-16 May ADNEC. 

MOOV by Al-Futtaim was at the centre of the showcase with its pioneering car subscription service, alongside Polestar 2 and Charge2Moov charging station at the exhibition. 

Three of the Al-Futtaim Automotive management leaders led the conversations on what it means to lead the e-mobility sector; fleet electrification strategies; and exploring the shift from car ownership to subscription.

Automotive Group Reinforces Electrification As A Strategic Priority at EVIS 2023

At the leading industry event, Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS), we reiterated our commitment to building the full EV ecosystem and driving the change-inspiring conversations. 

Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company showcased the Polestar 2 and Charge2Moov charging station, while senior leaders of Al-Futtaim Automotive participated in three panel sessions with industry stakeholders. 

We shared insights on how the EV market can accelerate across the Middle East, making the transition at scale with EV fleet and the role of financing in fast-forwarding the electric movement.

Hertz UAE Reinforces Sustainable Fleet Mobility At Arabian Travel Market 2023

With the largest electric & hybrid car rental fleet in the country, Hertz UAE showcased its green mobility commitment and innovative solutions at the renowned travel & tourism event. 

We featured the Polestar 2 and our Drive Green solution, which offers a wide choice of eco-drives as part of the Flexible Monthly Package. 

Toyota Egypt Group Celebrates Successful Implementation of SAP

In partnership with Edraky LLC, the national partner of the global technology giant – SAP, Toyota Egypt Group celebrated the biggest SAP ERP deployment for automotive industry globally and the first across the Middle East. 

The SAP S4HANA, Proaxia VSS and Cloud Solutions were exceptionally concluded in just 18 months, and will provide our customers in Egypt the best experience in pre-sales, sales, and post vehicles ownership.
