LAWYERS, YOU DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD

LAWYERS, YOU DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD

Have you ever immediately liked someone for no reason; or

You smile when you see them, or

You laugh at their corny jokes, or

You feel sympathetic to their cause, feelings, struggles, and emotions; or

Have you instantaneously disliked someone?

It could be a client, supervisor, new associate, manager, or one of your partners.

It happens to all of us whether we want to admit to it or not.

Have you ever been in a really bad mood?

You can't put your finger on why you feel so angry or irritated. Maybe you have been so stressed for so long you start lashing out to others.

Maybe you just hate your life and everything in it. Or, you might not feel you have anything to look forward to.

THE QUESTION IS WHY?

You know it is not logical, but despite chastising yourself for the way you treat certain people, you can’t help yourself?

OR

Could it be because you are stuck
in a chronic bad mood?

MEET TOM

Tom has been married for over 15 years. He recently made a partner in a large and influential law firm.

After 18 months as partner, Tom has been in a bad mood and could not just figure out WHY.

When Tom came to me he described his life.

  • My impatience and anger cost me a big-time client. I just could not deal with their nonsense anymore.
  • I lost it and I made an outburst which made the client decide that I was not the right lawyer to handle their case.
  • At home, my wife is sick and tired of my foul mood all of the time.
  • In fact, I am irritated at myself. Having no idea why I can't just snap out of it, I just deal with feeling bad most of the time.
  • Everyone in the office is intimidated by my nasty mood. I am always cutting folks down to size with cutting remarks. I just don’t understand why I feel like this."

Tom went on to say he was constantly feeling crappy. As a result his practice had become disorganized and non productive.

He has missed some important dates and could end up in trouble.

Tom said to me, "I need to get my life back Pamela.”

Our emotional stability helps us to be more active and productive in our dealings

The first thing I wanted Tom to check out is his health. I wanted to make sure there were no underlying health conditions that was causing his bad moods.

Once we ruled that he had a clean bill of health, I was ready to get to work with Tom.

During our coaching calls Tom was able to:

  1. Understand the reason why he has been in a bad mood.
  2. Regain peace of mind and enthusiasm in his life again.
  3. Become more focused and productive.
  4. Organize his practice.
  5. Improve his relationship with his wife.
  6. Repair the damage he had caused with his staff.
  7. Become happy, take time off to travel and enjoy his life and practice.

I want you to make the desired change that you want.

Make today a great day.
