The SXA 18 LTX 150 BL features a brushless motor and variable speed Vario-Constamatic Fullwave Electronics, which allows the tool to maintain its 4,000-10,000 rpm under load for high removal rates and productivity. The sander was designed with a low center of gravity and has an orbit diameter of 1/8” – 3mm, ensuring fine surface quality and smooth guidance on the work surface. The sanders rubber coated grip, light weight and extremely low vibration help reduce end-user fatigue, and in addition, helps prevent long-term vibration-related disorders of the hand and arm. The sander accepts any eight hole or multi-hole hook and loop backed sanding discs. Metabo recommends the 4.0 LiHD (Lithium High Density) battery pack (625367000) for best balance and runtime. Dustless work can also be accomplished cord free with the use of Metabo’s 18V cordless vacuum the AS 18 PC HEPA (602021860).This sander can be used for fine sanding and finishing of tabletops, cabinetry, furniture, on curved or straight surfaces. It can also be used for prep work, removing, or preparing for paint and for drywall finishing, vehicle polishing or automotive body filler sanding, sanding thermoplastic materials and gel coats.
