The Metaverse for companies: immersive storytelling

The Metaverse does not exist. At least not yet.

It is, anyway, something you’ve probably heard of already – it’s all anybody seems to be talking about right now. With a predicted market size of $800 billion by 2024, it’s slated to become the next new thing in technology. The more you know about the Metaverse, the more you can be prepared – and from a marketing point of view, it can’t hurt either. (Earthweb.com)

All B2M (business to mass) industries are looking at the Metaverse as a new space for selling products. Connected to NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens), the Metaverse already helps companies to sell their digital assets to a new market, mostly made by Gen Alphas and young consumers.

The Metaverse is also related to the gaming industry with great examples: Fortnite, Roblox, Sandbox.

But is the Metaverse just a new way to sell? Not only.

The Metaverse is a new (non) space for the business story, not only to customers but to all the stakeholders. An immersive storytelling that starts from strategy and passes through content to create a unique and distinctive digital experience.

Just as cavemen painted stories on rocks, digital today offers new places for people and businesses to communicate. The walls are no longer material, they are virtual and immersive. The story comes to life and becomes participatory. What to tell is up to us.

A logo, a product, a design can be copied, but the identity of the company and its history cannot. The value that stakeholders seek today lies in the relationship. A relationship based on values, in turn on the actions of the companies and the people who participate in them.

I think the metaverse is a new space for the company, an empty box to be filled in with important themes.

The walls become digital, the content becomes material.

I just wouldn’t say it doesn’t exist. It does exists. I would say it’s not real, but it does exists :)
