My thoughts on Donut Day.

Today is Friday (and also National Donut Day!). If you are like me, you probably attempted to resist the urge to indulge in donuts and kolaches, but failed. I have a coworker that brings donuts to work every Friday, and each week I'm tempted by the most delicious looking donuts. Many times, I forget my new "healthy lifestyle" but hey, you only live once so why not enjoy it with donuts!

Most of the time, my coworker will bring the plain, classic glazed donuts, and other times she will bring all types with sprinkles and icing on them. Personally, I am classic woman and I only like simple glazed donuts. Although I'm on a new health kick, if someone showed up to my office with glazed donuts, I would probably demolish the whole box within seconds. But before (and after that), here is what will go through my head (and probably yours too)..

1. "Omg, I'm could literally eat this whole box."

- Please somebody, anybody take this box away from me before I do some serious damage.

2. "Omg, I just ate the whole box."

- Why didn't you all take this box away from me? I ate waytoo many donuts.

3. "I worked out this morning, so I could have just one or two donuts, right?"

- Or three ;-)

4. "Who eats icing on their donuts?! Yuck!"

- The only thing time when icing is appropriate is when it's on a cake or cupcake.

5. "Eating this will feel so right, but it is so wrong."

- Decisions, decisions.

6. "Ugh, I already ate breakfast this morning!"

- I only had a smoothie, so I will just have to drink another smoothie at dinner to balance this donut out.

7. "God, why must people torture me with fatty goods?!"

- I thought I had been a good girl. Bad things always happen to good people :-(

8. "I'll start my diet on Monday."

- Because everyone starts a diet on a Monday.

9.  "Will someone split donut number two with me so that I don't feel that bad?"

- Come on, let's be greedy together.

10. "Who's gonna judge me if I take the last one?"

- Don't judge me; you don't know my struggle!
