New perspectives
A moment of honesty, I started writing my last post on a whim watching Ted Lasso at about 10 pm... but then quite a few people subscribed (thank you for all of your lovely and encouraging comments), so... I'm back again for round two!
🎧 What I'm listening to: Pivot hosted by tech journalist Kara Swisher and NYU Professor Scott Galloway
Maybe it's been the short weeks (no childcare = less time for podcasts) but I haven't listened to anything new or groundbreaking this week.
That said, I find myself returning to this podcast again and again for a commentary on what's going on in the world, with a particular focus on tech. I love the dynamic between the two of them, the breadth of the topics covered, and, Kara Swisher. (I feel like I need to channel her more in my life.) Sometimes it's not the most PC conversation, but I love hearing different perspectives than my own.
📥 What I'm subscribed to: TalentStories
You know those emails you subscribe to that you HAVE to read when they land in your inbox? This is mine. I absolutely love the three curated insights from across the changing world of work that Aki Taha and Usman Sheikh share every week. And if you don't believe me, check out their backlog on their website. Perfect reading for someone who likes to geek out on all things work-related!

📚 What I'm reading: Strong Female Character by Fern Brady
I couldn't put this book down. This book is so open and honest, whilst being funny and heartbreaking at the same time. Brady shares an eye-opening and interesting insight into what it is like to be a woman with autism, (something that I personally don't know enough about.) It made me think about so many things that allistic people wouldn't even consider - particularly in schools and workplaces - and has sparked a journey not just to learn more but to understand how I can be a better ally to those with autism.
And last but not least, some recommendations off the back of my last newsletter;
And that's a wrap! What caught your attention this week? What are you reading, listening to, or loving? ✨
