The Next Chapter of Burn the Boats

The Next Chapter of Burn the Boats

In our community, there is no turning back. Our only option is Plan A. We are dreamers and imposters doing hard new things. Sometimes dismissed. Often derided. But never deterred. Our why is more important than our how.

Our ever-growing community of Boat Burners will now exclusively live on Substack. I hope you’ll join us as we wind down our newsletter here on Linkedin.

It's been just five weeks since Burn the Boats launched and the feedback from all over the world has been extraordinary. I wrote it hoping that whoever reads the book would be left with a feeling they just can't shake: infinite possibility.

Boat Burners have been flooding my DMs with messages testifying to an awakening of a primordial force. The themes are remarkably similar. Many of you report that you always knew what you were capable of and destined for, but life's unmet expectations could be traced back to a slow and steady erosion of belief in oneself.  Plan B grew in the cracks of doubt. As the years went by, the gravitational pull of conformity conspired to put you in a box. And it simply became easier to stop resisting and start settling.

Until Burn the Boats came along at a time when you were ready to believe again.

My goal in writing these weekly dispatches on Substack is to maintain the momentum. The desire to be great must be reinforced because it's much harder than the alternative. It's also subconsciously threatening to those who want to preserve the status quo. Resist!

On my Substack, I'll expand upon different aspects of the book in no particular order. I'll answer questions from readers. And I'll showcase one boat burner from somewhere in the world who has decided to go all in on their dream, in the Lighting the Match segment.

Join our growing community of ‘Boat Burners’ on my Substack, where I’ll be diving deeper into themes/tactics from my new book & sharing incredible stories about how readers are burning their own boats.
