October 2024
Dear Readers,
On September 26, we celebrated our Living Culture Day across Deutsche Telekom Group. Our culture is the heartbeat of everything we do. Living Culture Day celebrates our unity, individuality, and the guiding principles that shape our journey to becoming the Leading Digital Telco. It reminds us that our strength lies in our collaboration, values, and shared purpose across borders.
Therefore, we are so happy to present on this special day that we, as part of Deutsche Telekom, have been awarded the prestigious "Global Leading Employer" certificate! 🌍 This recognition places us in the top 1% of companies globally, all thanks to our exceptional team.
We didn't just stop there! We also proudly secured the prestigious "Leading Employers" certificate for 2024 and 2025 in the Nordics and the UK. Additionally, we received the ENEI Tide Bronze Award for the UK.
Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion (enei) is a UK-based non-profit organization that supports employers in creating inclusive work environments. The TIDE award acknowledges organizations demonstrating excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion assessment. We are committed to promoting a workplace where everyone feels valued and included.
Together, we create an environment where everyone thrives, driving innovation and success for Telekom's future. Let's celebrate the power of "we" together with you! 💗
Best regards,

Connecting dataspaces globally
T-Systems and NTT Communications are collaborating to accelerate the development of data ecosystems in Japan by providing a joint dataspace test environment. This initiative aims to connect data spaces between Europe and Japan using open-source software from the Eclipse Foundation. Starting in Q4 2024, the test environment will be available to Japanese organizations and universities, enabling them to test interoperability and increase the number of dataspace developers in Japan. The partnership will also test the interaction between regional data rooms in Germany and Japan and integrate Gaia-X Digital Clearing House Services for mutual recognition of trust anchors, enhancing data sovereignty and international cooperation in data spaces.

How BMW leverages the Industrial Metaverse
BMW developed a digital twin of its new factory in Hungary to integrate the entire plant's infrastructure and reduce time from concept to completion. T-Systems provided the digital infrastructure for this initiative. The factory is a €2 billion investment and will produce 150,000 electric cars annually, aiming to improve production efficiency by 30%. The digital model, hosted on NVIDIA's Omniverse platform, enables real-time collaboration across 40 IT systems. Digital twins and the 'Industrial Metaverse' concept are being applied to digitalize railway networks and integrate technologies like cloud computing, 3D modeling, and AI. The potential return on investment is significant, offering improved collaboration, faster product development, and new customer experiences.
