ONE IMPORTANT REASON YOU MUST CONTINUE TO REACH OUT TO YOUR FRIENDS EVEN THE ONES WHO DON’T DESERVE IT

ONE IMPORTANT REASON YOU MUST CONTINUE TO REACH OUT TO YOUR FRIENDS EVEN THE ONES WHO DON’T DESERVE IT

In a society where everyone claims to know right from wrong, it is very easy to be wrong the whole time and still stand your ground of being right, but, what if your act of being right is actually costing you the historical badge of the one who was there for a friend when everyone else was claiming to be right?

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard people say “If she or he doesn’t call me, I am not going to call her”, well...no one can actually force you to call or do something against your will as an adult who is sanely expected to choose their friends but if you must call yourself someone’s friend, you must genuinely be there for them.

I understand that people fail to realize that people who are going through mental health crises do not think like everyone else even though our society expects everyone to behave in a certain way regardless of what is happening to them upstair. Until we understand that people can be going through a lot up there while wearing the biggest smile, we will continue to miss the fact that you must walk with people with the mindset to serve and that people actually need help, not condemnation.

Therefore. When you think about that friend who doesn't call or reach out unless you do, try telling yourself that “What if that’s all he or she needs to survive another tormenting day”, and if you genuinely think of this person as a friend, be there without expecting them to reciprocate your actions towards them or for them to return the favour in whatever form. As simple as it may seem for you to expect people to do or replicate your actions for your friendship to be smooth, some people genuinely do not have the mental capacity to call or reach out to others, KNOW THIS, AND KNOW PEACE!

PS: To everyone going through one mental health issue or the other, if someone is going out of their way to look out or reach out to you, try as much as you can to make them know you appreciate their genuine efforts to stay in touch. Don’t forget, it can only get better!

Kindly share for others to benefit.📍🌺

Yours in thriving,💜💜💜
