One Train To Hogwarts. One Visit From The Past. One Week. 10 Posts.
Twice a day I am on the train with people I do not know. Very defined time box of 30 minutes, completely sealed from the rest of my life by the gates of two trains stations. My challenge is to think of an idea, take a picture, write the headline and text, design the cover and publish an interesting post… while I am on the train.
You know me, everything must be branded, so “THE DAILY TRAINER” Is born.
This week brought some great insight and unordinary experiences.
Let me begin with the amazing Amit Hoomash, whom I didn't see for four years since I left #Gilat_Telecom. "Get me on the trainer" was Amit's first sentence. By far, this was the best train ride of the week.
This week turned out to bring some unordinary insights and unexplained images, e.g., Train number 4:20 coming to the station precisely at 4:20 pm; aA train with a truck reflection; A train platform looks like the inside of a train; The train to #Hogwarts 🦉 and more.
I know my destination, and I know how to get there, but I never know what will happen on the way. I find it to be exciting.
Enjoy the Ride.
Morning. November, 3th. 2019:
One is leaving, the other is just arriving, these two trains are in the opposite directions, yet each is on the right track to its destination. The question is, "Are you boarding the right train?"
At work, think of the people opposing your ideas, the ones trying to take things in the opposite direction. What are their goals? Are you all aiming at the same destination?
Night. November, 3th. 2019:
Life is a one-way ticket. However, once we are "on the train", how we travel and what we do on our journey is totally up to us. From relationships to partnerships to projects and interactions, it is up to us to be meaningful and enjoy the ride.
Yes, that applies to the professional part of your journey as well.
Morning. November, 4th. 2019:
Signs are all around us; they are a kind of code that, if we understand, we will act on, like a stop sign in a junction. Some signs, e.g., the one in the picture, are for professionals. It seems to be important. However, I have no idea what it says. Or what I need to do. Do you?
At work, are the people in your team understand the signs you put in the project or just seeing them and have no idea what to do?
Sunset. November, 4th. 2019:
This #Bar Refaeli and #Assi Azar poster, with the sunset and the train station... What can possibly be more romantic? In 10 Minutes I will be home with Anat Shalom Yoran 🥰
At work and at home having proportions is essential.
Morning. November, 5th. 2019:
Reflection is an organic feedback. Perception is an opinion. You are what your perception is. first of all in your own eyes, but also, in the eyes of others.
This image combine reflection and perception. I thot the glass will reflect the train in the station, It turned out to be, that the train reflection is the passing track. This is perception, and it can be deceiving. Is this train consider itself to be a truck?!
At work, as in other aspects of life. Try matching your reflection and perception. To some degree, You control both of them.
Note: A 10% shinier preception is nice to have.
Night. November, 5th. 2019:
With the Train passing in the background, the safety rail that looks like the train's windows and this dude sitting comfortably... It looks like an inside picture of the train... only it is outside the platform.
Yes, also at work, use your imagination. It is a powerful tool.
Morning. November, 6th. 2019:
Is that a slash?
For best results, let your surroundings be a part of what you do.
In many situations in life, even at work, we bring our selves into the job, and sometimes we forget that we are not alone. There are other people "in the room," and there is a surrounding, that can contribute and be a part of our success. Scale it up by 10x if what we are doing is for the benefit of others, they must be a part of our doing.
Sunset. November, 6th. 2019:
What are the odds that train number 420 will enter the station at 4:20 PM? And yet, it happens.
You should plan and make sure you are ready in the right place at the right time. However, for better and for worst, you can not predict everything.
Morning. November, 7th. 2019:
For four years we didn't see each other. This morning, I have met Amit Hoomash on the train platform in #Kfar_Saba, and it seems like time had no meaning, like it is just an everyday morning in the office of #Gilat_Telecom.
Friendship doesn't count in time. It counts in connection and respect between people.
Night. November, 7th. 2019:
Long exposure provides deep and unexpected insights. Like this train to #Hogwarts... I always thought that Harry Potter is fiction 🦉.
At work, do you invest time in "long exposure" to Markets, Employees, Competitors, or do you tend to make desition based on "Snapshots" of data?
Best practice will be a combination.
