Past, Present, and Future: How To Use Your Good and Bad Experiences For Success

What’s shakin’, it’s good to be back on the ALL IN newsletter. The last few weeks have been awesome since launching my Live MSP Coaching. I’ve learned a lot from my community and one theme from the coaching events and my podcasts is around learning from our experiences.

Have you ever felt like you were being held back or unable to reach your true potential? I know I have before, so these last few weeks on my podcast, I've had the pleasure of meeting with some experts to demystify how their experiences, past, present, and future had paved the way for their success.

The Emotional Manipulation Pedestal

Is your past being used as a weapon?

I don’t know about you, but do you ever get that bad feeling inside when you’re talking with somebody, and you just don’t feel right. Like, you feel like you’re boxed in a corner, you feel like almost nothing you can do is right. I mean, it’s just, it’s a bad place to be, it’s a bad place to feel.

You have to make the choice to change. You can’t just expect them to because now that you’re aware of it, it’s your responsibility to say ‘hey, I’m not okay with this. Here’s what I would prefer to do. I prefer to talk through this.’  And you know what? I’m sorry, don’t hold me in my past.

Break of emotional manipulation in this episode.

Ecommerce, Just Like Riding a Bike

Is your ad confusing? Does your website make it confusing for customers to purchase?

I chatted with Tim Keen about his expertise, after he taught himself how to make money online all by going to Google and hitting the search button, “How to make money online”.

Tim Keen is the founder and CEO of Loop Club, a Shopify Plus Partner performance marketing agency based in Los Angeles that spends about $3M a month on paid ads. He played drums in a touring rock band until he needed to make money online, and went from typing “make money online” into Google to running a $2M+ annual revenue agency in under 4 years, working with 7, 8, and 9-figure brands like Unilever, Free Fly Apparel, and Road Runner Sports.

We talk about the process to learn digital marketing and become an expert in a topic. He also talks about how he got in a fight with someone on Twitter because someone was trying to stir the pot and asked a question which they knew was controversial. The question was....

guess you’ll need to listen to find out!

The Lone Wolf Mindset

Are you mad at yourself yet?

I had to get pissed off at myself, so that I could look myself in the mirror, and acknowledge it was time for change to happen in my life. I knew the changes I needed to make and had the momentum to do so.

In this episode you’ll learn the importance of realizing where you are NOT, the mortality rate of lone wolves versus those in a pack and what it’s like to have an awakening to change NOW. A lot of times to make a significant change in yourself, you have to get pissed off.

The Marathon That Never Ends

When a person has their rock bottom moment, it’s often the point in time their life begins to accelerate. I chatted with Yuri Elkaim about our rock bottom moments that changed our lives to build our careers and futures.

The number one thing he mentions when people set out for a goal, is that they don’t want it bad enough. Sometimes they may not know enough about the thing they’re going after but most of the time they just don’t want it bad enough. It has to be a 10/10 on what you want. For a must, we’ll run through a brick wall, and maybe you hit your rock bottom moments, but you keep going.

Yuri is New York Times best selling author and former pro athlete who turned his own health challenges (losing all of his hair at age 17) into a business that helped more than 500,000 people to better health and he is now the CEO of Healthpreneur. Yuri has spent 20 years in the entrepreneurial trenches and has actionable insights, valuable lessons, and many experiences to share that lead him from poverty line income, to building several 7 figure companies to now having 2 Mclarens in his driveway.
