DEME Group ’s vessel Orion has installed its first XXL monopile foundation at the 882 MW Moray West offshore wind farm in #Scotland. The company’s jack-up vessel Apollo is also joining the offshore work, taking care of installing the transition pieces at the construction site.

Empire Wind 1 Cleared to Start Construction

The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has approved the Construction and Operations Plan (COP) for Equinor ’s Empire Wind offshore wind project in New York, the #US. With this approval secured, the developer is planning to start the construction of Empire Wind 1 later this year.


First Power Flows from Vattenfall’s Vesterhav Nord Offshore Wind Farm

Vesterhav Nord (North) offshore wind farm, owned by Vattenfall , started producing power on 16 February, joining its sister park Vesterhav Syd, which began generating electricity in January 2024.


Assembly of ‘Largest Floating Wind Turbine on French Atlantic Coast’ to Start This Spring

Construction work on Eolink’s 5 MW floating wind turbine that will be installed at the French SEM-REV test site off the coast of Le Croisic is set to begin this Spring following the arrival of the first components at the Port of Brest on 20 February.
