The Rise of the Human Onboarding

Taking the leap to join a new company can be overwhelming, especially when it involves relocating to an unfamiliar country. Two years ago, our onboarding processes were still in their early stages. As a startup, we lacked templates or standardized procedures. However, during our scaling journey, Viktoria and Laurane have driven significant progress, implementing onboarding checklists, templates, and policies to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for our new joiners.

Welcoming individuals to our offices is something we take pride in. Embarking on a new job journey can be stressful, and that's precisely why our dedicated onboarding team is committed to crafting a seamless experience for every new joiner. Presently, we are working on developing a new joiner guide and conducting comprehensive presentations to ensure that our newcomers feel well-informed, safe, and warmly welcomed into the crew.

While we rely on email interaction for a significant portion of our onboarding process, it’s super important we maintain a human touch. By automating routine tasks, we can free up more time for personal interaction., and even the smallest gestures can make a significant difference in helping new joiners feel like valued members of the team.

Centralizing information is a priority for us. We've implemented an intranet that houses policies, onboarding videos, and other relevant information in one easily accessible location. Additionally, we provide an onboarding planner to guide new employees through their initial weeks.

As we continue to scale, prioritizing processes, implementing automation, and leveraging technology will continue to be a priority. Our focus is not on replacing the human touch, but rather on dedicating more personal time and resources to help new joiners transition into the Tadaweb world!
