Rural Europe and China; Any Convergence? Part 1

There is a growing consensus among development practitioners globally that whatsoever development needs a country chose to pursue; it cannot achieve it until a vast majority of the rural areas of the country is brought into the mainstream of development. The extreme perspective of this argument is that the neglect of rural areas is imperatively the harbinger of development failure in a country.
