For Smile Train - and other charities

For Smile Train - and other charities

In the picture above you can see the horrifying effects of a cleft palate: a child born with one will usually, if not treated by charitable organisations, live a life of rejection and misery. As will his or her family.

Smile Train helps such children and their families and is - as far as I can tell - an organisation who spend little on administration.

I understand that there are far too many other charities supporting far too many other deserving causes.

So, rather than making this an appeal or a reminder about just one of the many terrible tragedies that happen to so many people, I am simply putting out something for us to think about.

Is there anything we can do?

If you want to share this post, that would be one thing that would help

Mark a gentle reminder to think about others worse off than ourselves, lacking the support we take for granted.
