So you want to sell a membership?

Hey LinkedIn Fam! I missed you all so much!! Get ready, this is a fun one!! I've learned a lot as usual. The best part about learning new sh*t is sharing that cold hard real experience with you. So, you're looking into selling a membership? Well, there's so many things that go on behind the scenes that you may not realize. Such as The L.S.H.O. Art gallery will be launching The Private Reserve Membership and this is what I've learned. (INSERT shameless, The L.S.H.O. Art Gallery plug HERE)

It's true though, The L.S.H.O. Art Gallery has released a Membership which is extremely, extremely exclusive. No joke. As in 50 members at any given time will have access to The Private Reserve works and a kick ass metal membership certificate card it comes with it. (Plus the ability to negotiate ANY price on a piece)

Pretty badass, anyways. Setting up a membership. First, you have to set up a website. Then you have to find an app that offers membership services. Then you have to link that app to your store. Then you have to set up a separate account to accept payments. Then you have to link that account to your bank account.

Then you have to set up value props. Then you have to create brand uniformity and content to pull it all together. Then you have to tell everyone shamelessly that you created something exclusive and epic. Then you have to re enforce that the FOMO. Which by the way is literally real because the ones who are not L.S.H.O. Private Reserve Members will have to wait for spots to open up.

Then you have to set up collections of works behind the scenes. You have to make sure that the products that are for non-L.S.H.O. Private Reserve Members and the Private Reserve Members don't get mixed up. Yes, L.S.H.O. One of Ones are already super exclusive as they are, but what’s even more exclusive are the Private Reserve ones.

To ensure that you can even set up this process, all you really need to know is how to copy / paste code snippets. A little bit, not like super savvy 'I wear flip flops and a ID badge on a lanyard as my uniform drinking boba tea savvy,' but like 'I grew up setting up a Myspace page that crashed peoples computer because you had one too many glitter butterflies and theme music to open up as the page loaded.'

If you can build a 2003 Myspace Page, then you can build a website and launch a Membership.

I hope this was insightful.

Oh,

Stay Creative.
