StartHub Africa ’s Journey with Spark Herbal Toothpaste;

1. We first encountered Spark during the Entrepreneurship Development Level 2 bootcamp, co-developed with MUST/IUC UCoBS Subproject 5 team.
2. We pushed them beyond the classroom and into the field—where they conducted customer interviews, scoped out competitors, and built a waitlist of eager buyers.
3. At the bootcamp's close, Project 5 awarded them UGX 500,000 and connected them with six months of mentorship.
4. Six months later, Spark is live in the market with 63 customers—and the waitlist keeps growing!
5. We recently trained them again on product development alongside MUST’s Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer to prepare them for even more funding opportunities.
6. Yesterday, the production of 5,000 tubes kicked off to meet their rising demand!
