Internet of Things was not even a ‘thing’ when we introduced interactive security, the ability to communicate with the alarm systems over cellular networks, arming and controlling the alarm system from the mobile devices. Alarm.com’s competitive landscape has significantly evolved over the past few years, with many new players entering the market and all big players eyeing home automation as the “Next Big Thing” in tech. These players entering the market shouldn’t intimidate us; instead, they should encourage us.

The future will require us to widen our product portfolio so we can meet the needs of an increasingly connected world. Alarm.com will win away market share from competitors with a focus on early adoption, first-to-market products and services, and a relentless customer experience.
