Things I'm going to look at differently because of the ILP's How To Be Brilliant with Peter Pritchard
Last night was one of those 'you really had to be there' moments, at the ILP's How To Be Brilliant. We were really lucky to have Peter Pritchard come along to Marshalls Design Space and blow our minds with all this STUFF about light and space and craters in the desert and amazing lighting. My grandad was a Cork man and I could just hear him saying 'oh my golly'. Thank you to acdc for sponsoring the series and to all the people who came. We will have a proper write up in the Lighting Journal but just for now, here's a few things to try, think about, and ponder on...
DIY Ganzfeld effect. Cut a ping pong ball in half, place over your eyes, and wait.

Maria Nordman. Yes, yes, ALL the artists Peter mentioned are incredible but I'm going to have a good long look at Maria Nordman in particular. I think she is an actual genius. I don't know the person who made this pinterest board so lets hope they don't mind me linking:
People will always bicker over who had the original idea (or not) like a Shakespeare/Marlowe scenario repeated forever. Maybe its part of human nature?
REMEMBER: It's not about the light. It's about the people who inhabit the light.
